The cost of a new gas or electricity meter installation depends on the size and type of the required meter, where you want it installed, the layout of your premises and whether it is located on the national grid.
When you call us, we will ask you to send across your site plan which will aid our designers to draw up a reliable plan and costing for the metering services you require. By inspecting your property or site in detail, we can determine your needs and provide your gas or electricity meter at the best possible price.
Other factors that could influence timeframe and cost include: the complexity of the work required, the geographical location of the property or site (e.g., remote locations may require extra planning), and any unforeseen delays such as unexpected weather or ground conditions.
It is important to note that Crown Energy is not a utility supplier. We provide the full scope of works needed for meter installations, disconnections, upgrades, removals, and relocation.

If you need your gas meter moving, we have a specialist team on hand to assist you every step of the process. The pipe attached to the meter will determine how far we can move it.
Before we can provide you with a plan and costing, we will need some information:
Not every gas meter move is the same, so the cost of each job varies based on your requirements. After having an initial conversation, we can determine the distance from the existing location you wish to move the meter, or if the meter is being moved inside/outside and if the gas supply pipe needs to be altered in any way.
Once we have the above information we can provide you with an accurate cost breakdown as part of a no-obligation quote.

There are four different types of electricity meters: dial, smart, digital, and electronic. They are broken down into two categories: credit and prepayment meters.
Credit meters track the amount of electricity consumed and then a bill is generated based on the increased numerical values given on the display. A prepayment meter needs to be topped up with credit and provides an allocated value of electricity remaining on a display.
We dealt with Crown Energy as we were trying to arrange to have a 3 phase meter fitted at our business premises. Crown had been suggested to us previously so we decided to use their services. We'd been having huge difficulties trying to sort out the meter for several weeks and initially spoke with Tegan. Tegan was very calm and reassured us that Crown would be able to help with this. Less than three weeks after contacting Crown Energy, we have our meter fitted. We are so grateful to Tegan, and the team at Crown Energy, thank you so much.
This is the most helpful and supportive company I have worked with to date. Answered all of my questions (and I've had many). This company really go the extra mile to look after their customers and become your 'friends on the end of the phone' when having any issues. Special thanks to Rheann and Lee for all their hard work. I've not had to lift a finger and they have made the whole process completely stress free. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.
Hi, we hired Crown Energy utilities to move our gas meter to outsideon the wall of our house. They said it will take up to 6 weeks for works to start but they came 2 weeks later after payment was made.
The men turned up on the day they said it was booked in for and they were excellent in the work they did, the men were very polite. Thank you to your brilliant team for all the work you did it was well worth the money it cost us. We would definitely recommend them and hire them again.
